Aaah, a fireplace. The soothing warmth of the fire during long winter evenings. Most of us love fireplaces, don’t we? Of course we do. After all we need a fireplace for it to have chimney, so Santa could come down and bring us Christmas presents. Presents we rightfully deserve. We do, right? Right? Since we established this fact we can move on to more technical stuff.

Fireplaces, new ones and existing.

In most cases, here at Best Brickmasters, we are dealing with existing structures. Notably, it is worth to underscore structural part of the whole matter. Why? Because we don’t evaluate the condition of the fireplace when it comes to it’s proper ventilation and weather it meets current code requirements. We also don’t clean chimneys. There are licensed companies that do that. What we do, is we repair existing or built new fireplace. Often repair may only include bricks replacement or installation of fireproof mortar. Sometimes it gets more complicated and wall must be opened in order to replace flue line or fireplace dumper. Lastly, there are requests for new fireplace to be build into new or existing structure. Often fireplace repair involve some work on the chimney and we do plenty of that.
